FAQ | Julia Savina, PhD, Psychotherapist

How long will my therapy last? Is there a limit to the number of sessions?

My therapy sessions are usually held once or twice per week at a set time. However, the frequency of therapy can depend on your individual psychological needs, as well as financial reality or time constraints. Frequency of sessions is discussed and is guided by your needs and desires, on on-going basis.

Do you take insurance?

Services provided by a licensed psychotherapist are often covered by health insurance, employee benefit plans or EAPs. Please check with your insurance what is the amount covered (usually 50% to 100%) and the maximum number of sessions covered per year. Please verify if your insurance does cover the services of a psychotherapist.

When are you available to meet?

I am available by appointment during the week. Evening and weekend appointments are also available, occasionally.

What is the next step?

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation, please give me a call at (514) 516-1415 or send me a message.

How much does it cost?

Therapy fee is fixed at $180 per session (tax inclusive).

How confidential is what I say to you in therapy?

Completely confidential. I will not share any information with others without your written authorization. The only exception would be situations in which clients might pose a clear and present threat to themselves or another person, or when a minor child's development is being compromised.

How do I make an appointment?

Appointments can be made via phone/text, or online from my website. Its normal to feel anxious and uncomfortable about making contact. It may help you to email me or talk to me first on the phone to clarify any of your concerns, determine our fit for each other, or simply want to “get the vibe”. Please keep in mind, this contact will be brief.

Do you offer therapy online?

Yes. I provide therapy via video using a secure, encrypted software to keep you safe and protect your privacy.
